The pressure transmitter is mainly composed of three parts: load cell sensor, measuring circuit and process connector. When user install a pressure transmitter or a differential pressure transmitter, it is suppose to be a simple process, but it can become a problem if certain best practices are not imbibed.

1. Prevent the pressure transmitter from contacting with corrosive or overheated media;

2. Prevent dross from depositing in the catheter;

3. When measuring the liquid pressure, the pressure tap should be opened at the side of the process pipe, not at the bottom, to avoid the deposition of slag;

4. When measuring the gas or air pressure, the pressure tap shall be opened at the top of the process pipe, and the pressure transmitter shall also be installed at the top of the process pipe, so that the accumulated liquid or condensate water can not be easily injected into the process pipe;

5. The pressure pipe shall be installed in the place with small temperature fluctuation;

⒍ when measuring steam or other high-temperature medium, it is necessary to connect with condenser such as buffer pipe (coil), etc., and the working temperature of transmitter shall not exceed the limit;

7 when freezing occurs in winter, the transmitter installed outdoors must be provided with anti freezing measures to avoid the sensor loss due to the expansion of liquid volume in the pressure tap due to freezing;

8. When measuring the liquid pressure, the installation position of the pressure transmitter shall avoid the impact of the liquid (water hammer phenomenon), so as to avoid the overpressure damage of the pressure transmitter;

⒐ when wiring, put the cable through the waterproof joint or winding pipe and tighten the sealing nut to prevent the rainwater from leaking into the transmitter housing through the cable.
